Our Story
Bay Area businesses in the late 1990s had two choices for IT support: hire internal staff they couldn't afford, or sign with a national provider who'd never set foot in their office. Neither option gave them what they actually needed — a team that knew their environment and picked up the phone.
Bayport started in 1997 to be a third option: a local team that earned its place by being present. Not because a salesperson said so, but because when something broke at 11 PM, you talked to the same engineer who built the system.
For the first decade, that meant IT infrastructure. Then the threat landscape changed. Ransomware. Data breaches. HIPAA audits. Clients who once needed help with servers started needing someone to defend them. We moved from IT consulting to managed services to full managed security — not because it was a growth strategy, but because the clients who trusted us needed us to go there.
“When you call Bayport, you talk to the people who manage your systems.”
12 senior technologists. No outsourced helpdesk. No offshore ticket queues. The person who picks up knows your environment, your compliance requirements, and your tolerance for downtime. That's not a feature. When your network goes down or an auditor calls, it's the difference between an hour and a week.

We needed someone who'd respond fast and actually know our systems. Ken and the Bayport team handle our entire IT environment, and when something breaks, we get a real person who already knows the context. That's rare.

We evaluated several providers before choosing Bayport. The difference was honesty and depth. They didn't oversell, they explained what we actually needed, and the technical thoroughness has been consistent from day one.
